Kindness

It’s not uncommon to succumb to negative self-talk. I’m sure we’ve all heard the quote, “You’re your own worse critic.” But when this becomes abnormal part of your life, it has turned into an issue that needs some fixing. Easier said than done, I know. But the next time you say something mean to yourself, imagine saying it to your mom or your best friend. How would they feel ? How would they react ? How would you feel about hurting someone you love ? Love yourself.

You can even go one step further. Try making counter statements and challenging your belief in what you’ve said. For example if you say, “I’m so fat ! Why did I eat all that candy?” Instead you can say, “Although eating candy wasn’t part of my plan, I know I can make more favorable decisions at my next meal.”
