I once heard someone say that they read in a book that “depression is just learned helplessness.” On some level that is true. If we are depressed about where we are in life, it’s likely because we can’t figure out how to change it. We may even know the steps but still we feel stuck, hopeless, helpless. 

It doesn’t have to be that way. Every day we have a choice about everything. If you hate your job. Find a new one. Hate your town ? Move away. Hate your weight ? Work out and eat healthy. Are you made of tons of excuses ? What’s really stopping you besides fear ?
